Bienvenido!

Hello and welcome to my substack. In A Sentimental Mood is an iconic song by Duke Ellington, further made famous by the duet version with John Coltrane. It’s a song that has wrapped around my heart and demanded more of me than most songs, hence it being the title of this substack.

My name is Luka, and I’m here to talk about art, jazz, history, and life. I write in the mornings as I drink my daily cup of yerba mate and play records. And now I’m sharing it with you. I hope you can join me as we take a moment to examine great art and find value in the small things in life.
